Two Important Efforts Underway This Summer Encouraging Continued Vietnam Adoption
1. Congressional Coalition on Adoption (Co-Chairs: Senator Mary Landrieu; Senator Norm Coleman; Congressman James Oberstar and Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite), plus JCICS and Ethica, have developed an initiative called the Child's Right Campaign for Vietnam encouraging better adoption ethics, plus the continuation of Vietnam adoptions past September, via an interim MOU. Thanks to the efforts of adoption agencies and adoptive parents signatures from Senate and Congress were collected for presentation to Secretary of State Rice. You can read more on the JCICS site.
